Our historyMekoprint was founded in Northern Denmark by Erland Kold Senior in 1954, when he bought a third of "Aalborg Kliché- og Metalskiltefabrik", an Northern Jutlandic cliché and metal sign factory.
Erland Kold Senior quickly began to expand the company – without major technical insight, but with much energy, intelligence and flair for sales. In the beginning, Mekoprint produced etched metal nameplates and adhesives intended for marking of pumps, engines and agricultural machinery.
When Esben Kold took over the position as CEO after his father in 1973, Erland Kold Senior had developed the company into one of the largest in Scandinavia within its business area.
Esben Kold, with his educational background as a chemical engineer, further spurred development and developed Mekoprint into a high technology, dynamic and flexible company with a wide range of product solutions - and with potential for further growth.
At Mekoprint the wish is not only to expand the company, but to create the perfect company in perfect cooperation with customers and suppliers.
The course has been set to:
Optimum quality in every solution - then and now Throughout half a century, Mekoprint has maintained the same objective as its customers, namely optimum quality in every solution. Since 1954 when Mekoprint started out as a graphics company and metal sign factory and until today, Mekoprint has always focused on innovative cooperation with it customers. And it will continue to do so ...
The present objective remains the same as originally – only the words have been given a modern slant. Now we call it partner-based innovation. |
