The challenge

Requirements to the development of the antenna to be produced by Mekoprint:

• Compact design
• Height of max. 15 cm with a range of several kilometers
• High durability

The solution suggested by Mekoprint

The result is a tin-coated flexprint onto which solder-mounting can be carried out without any risk of melting the contact film because the polyimide is heat-resistant. The conductive material on the antenna is copper. The thickness of the foil (less than 35 µm) makes the antenna as thin and supple as paper. It can therefore be shaped and placed directly into the antenna cone. Out of sight - but readily available.
