LED & keyboard labels for intelligent fireman's suit

Firemen work in tough environments for which reason it is extremely important that their equipment is resistant to external influences and in perfect condition.

Requirements for the development of LEDs and key labels:

• Flexibility
• Integrated PCBA – sewn onto the fireman's suit
• Short-term exposure to up to 350°C and long-term up to 250°C
• Washable at high temperatures fpr a minimum of 20 times

The result is a self-extinguished flexible silicone rubber keypad solution protecting the PCBA against heat. The solution is made of co-molded UL-94V0 materials in black and semi-transparent materials and an adhesive sealant.
