Advantages of etching technology

Mekoprint utilizes etching technology in the manufacture of items when it would be very complicated or impossible to use normal punching techniques. The geometry or thickness of the connector or spring is more 

or less irrelevant for the etching process as it is possible to finish materials in the thickness range of 0.025-1.2 mm.

Etching or punching?

In cooperation with Mekoprint, the customer is ensured a lot of advantages
regarding etching, e.g.:

• Design testing without investment in tools
• Speedy delivery
• No problems caused by burrs or tension in the material
• Surface treatment in sheet metal

Materials and production

Mekoprint is able to offer various materials on coils off-the-shelf, e.g. tin bronze, spring steel German silver, beryllium copper and mumetal in varying thicknesses and alloys.

The Mekoprint production equipment is highly flexible. Prototypes and small orders can be run through

a setup based on a mass production concept.
